ArmA 2 OA

ArmA 2 OA or ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead is a standalone expansion pack to the ArmA 2 installment. It is developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio and was first released on June 29, 2010. This tactical shooter/Military Simulation/FPS video game offers new additions to the ArmA 2 installment including new equipment/vehicles, new campaign, new maps for multiplayer mode and new factions. As a standalone expansion pack, this game can be played without the ArmA 2 installed. However, players who have the ArmA 2 game can also integrate it into Operation Arrowhead.

The game is set in a fictional country called Takistan and it takes place in the summer of 2012, about three years after the events portrayed in ArmA 2. In this game, the player can take on the role of different military duties (e.g. tank commander or infantry man). It is also possible to control multiple AI units/teams while performing the duties of real soldiers. Like its prequel, the game has both single player and multiplayer modes. In the single player mode, the US forces are sent to the fictional Takistan to defeat the dictatorial government. There are several optional tasks in the campaign mode giving different endings in the game. The multiplayer mode offers cooperative and competitive game types. Aside from the multiplayer features available in ArmA 2, additional multiplayer maps are added in this expansion pack.
