Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare 2

Activision (Proprietary)

Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 is an FPS (first-person shooter) game developed by Infinity Ward. It was first released on November 10, 2009. It is also the sequel to the Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare. There are three game modes available in the game – single player, multiplayer and cooperative.

In the single-player campaign mode, the player will take the role of different characters. The character will change depending on which mission/level the player is accomplishing. There are a total of three acts in the game, with each act having several objectives. The player must accomplish each of the objectives in order to finish the game.

The game’s cooperative mode is called Special Ops, which can be played alone or two-player. It consists of separate missions (23 missions total) that take place in different locations found in the campaign mode. However, the missions are not connected to the campaign’s storyline. This mode consists of five different groups of missions. There are also three levels of difficulty – regular, hardened and veteran. After completing a mission, the player/s will earn a star for each difficulty level. Obtaining enough stars will unlock more missions.

The multiplayer mode has the same unlockable reward system and experience points available in the Call of Duty 4. Gaining enough XP allows the player to level up. There are 70 levels in the game and 10 levels of prestige. There are different game modes including Search & Destroy, Domination, Free-for-All, Team Deathmatch, Demolition, Capture the Flag and Sabotage. The multiplayer mode no longer has a dedicated server support, which removes the ability to create user-created maps and mods.
