Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough is a first-person shooter expansion pack for the Medal of Honor Allied Assault. It was released on July 2, 2002 by Electronic Arts, Inc. It offers both single player and multiplayer game types. This expansion pack is set in the Theatre of Operations in Europe from 1943 to 1944. The player assumes the role of Sergeant John Baker. He is the part of the US 34th Infantry Division. The single player campaign has eleven levels with the player joining the Battle of the Kasserine Pass, followed by the Allied invasion of Messina, Sicily in 1943 and lastly, repels the German forces at the battle of Monte Battaglia in 1944.

The multiplayer game has nine new levels, which includes the Anzio Beach, Messina streets and the Monastery at the Monte Cassino. There’s also a new the Liberation Mode wherein the defeated players can only continue to fight if they are rescued by the remaining surviving teammates. The multiplayer game also brings back the Objective and Tug-of-War modes. Players can also choose from several skins, soldier models and voices including German, British, American and Italian.

Both multiplayer and single player games have Italian weapons. It also adopted the Russian and British weapons from the first expansion pack of Medal of Honor Allied Assault.
