Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility 3.2.0.24

Intel Corporation (Freeware)

Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility, or Intel XTU, is a utility program used to modify memory tuning and CPU (processor) parameters. This will stabilize the computer system, optimize its performance and control the acoustic and cooling characteristics of the computer. The program is used for monitoring power supply, fan speeds and voltage. It can also perform stress tests to illustrate setting and system stability.
Performance tests are also available, which is used for measuring the effects of setting modification and system configurations.

The program’s interface has five main sections - Navigation and Views, Tuning Controls, System Table, System Graphs and System Monitors. The Navigation section displays the program’s main functions. This area offers the following functions: display system information, modify system settings in manual tuning, perform stress tests and manage system settings sets. There are two ways of viewing the interface – monitoring view and full view. Switching between these two views is possible through the toggle button found at the top-right corner of the interface.

Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility also has the Tuning Control section, which shows the controls for configuring the system settings in manual tuning. It also displays the settings for the stress tests and profiles. There’s also the System Table section where all the information regarding the current system settings are displayed. A summary of all the changes made are also shown. Another section is called the System Graphs, which provides the measured system values over time. The last section, System Monitors, provides dedicated views of chosen system values. It shows value ranges, current value as well as averages.
