Power Data Recovery is MiniTool’s data recovery software released in February 2010. It allows users to recover accidentally deleted data and information from local files and folders. They can also recover data lost through malicious file attacks and computer crashes.

MiniTool’s Power Data Recovery software features three recovery modules—Undelete Recovery, Advanced Recovery, and Deep Scan Recovery. Undelete Recovery Module is the regular recovery mode which restores accidentally deleted files. Advanced Recovery Module allows users to recover data from badly damaged disk partitions or lost volumes. Lastly, the Deep Scan Recovery Module provides the most thorough scanning of lost partitions and volumes. The Deep Scan Recovery Module provides the best odds at recovering lost data. All these modules may be initiated by clicking the particular button that corresponds to it. The program then automatically performs the scan and recovers as much data as it can find. After scan, Power Data Recovery lets users get a preview of the scanned files. Scanned files may be audio, video, photo, and plain text documents. After checking the previewed files, users can choose which files to recover and which to let be.

Power Data Recovery also allows recovery suspensions or cancellations. Users need not restart the scan as the program automatically saves the status of the scan and recovery process. Cancelled processes may be resumed at another time without data loss.
