Wolfenstein – Enemy Territory is a video game developed by Splash Damage and id Software and was released in May 2003. This video game was first intended to be released as an expansion pack for Return to Castle: Wolfenstein but due to development problems, the developers decided to release it as a standalone game instead. Wolfenstein – Enemy Territory is a first person shooter video game where players engage in both melee and ranged weapons combat in a first person perspective. This video game also features a multiplayer mode of gameplay where a number of players interact with one another in a virtual environment called a game map. Wolfenstein – Enemy Territory can be played online or through a Local Access Network (LAN) connection.

Wolfenstein – Enemy Territory is set in World War II. Players may choose to play as a member of two factions: the Allies and the Axis. This game also features maps, weapons, and vehicles that were used in that era. Players get to user weapons such as the Colt M1911 pistol, the German Luger, the MG42 Machine Gun, flamethrowers, and grenades. The game also features futuristic weapons such as the Tesla gun and Chain gun, as well as melee weapons like knives and the Spear of Destiny. Vehicles cannot be directly controlled by players, but can be used to perform special actions. Wolfenstein – Enemy Territory provides six official game maps that are based on real locations and events on the North African and European campaigns during World War II. These maps include Gold Rush and Siwa Oasis for North Africa, and Atlantic Seawall Battery, Rail Gun, Wurzburg Radar, and Fuel Dump for the European campaign. This video game also features three gaming modes: Objective mode, Stopwatch mode, and Last Man Standing.
