ApexDC++ 1.5.5

ApexDC++ Development Team (Freeware)

ApexDC++ is a program that enables users to share their files directly to multiple users using a P2P or peer-to-peer file sharing protocol. P2P or Peer-to-Peer file sharing is a file transfer method used to share large-sized files over a network. Peer-to-peer file sharing is often used to transfer files such as movies, music, photos, software, documents, etc. ApexDC++ provides a simpler and faster means of file sharing compared to torrent clients by means of using direct connect networks such as the NDMC and ADC. This program facilitates file transfers by means of segment downloading, a feature that enables users to download a file from multiple users simultaneously while maintaining the integrity of the whole file package. This program also provides security features that encrypts files used in file transfers. In addition to these, ApexDC++ allows users to set a download and upload limit for their file transfers in order to reserve bandwidth for other internet activities such as browsing, streaming, and playing online games. Users may also customize the program’s appearance by a selection of font colors and styles.

ApexDC++ features a simple user interface that contains two main control parts. First part is the control bar located on the top portion of the program window. This section contains buttons that execute actions within the program. Next part is the file list where users can view the files being downloaded or shared. This section displays file info such as the file name, file size, status, time left for download, speed, etc.
