Active Desktop Calendar is a desktop calendar utility program developed by XemiComputers Ltd. It offers an integrated interface for alarms, appointment notes, tasks, and contacts. Arranging data in layers and sharing these data with others is also possible. However, sharing of data is only possible if the users are connected to a local area network. This application can also be integrated with Microsoft Outlook allowing users to display tasks and appointments on the desktop. Options to configure calendar colors, icons, and fonts are available. There is also a function to mark dates and weekdays with alarms and/or notes. Choosing to use a text-only version of the application is possible.

Active Desktop Calendar offers recurrence patterns for alarms and notes. The alarm can also be either attached to notes or it can be a stand-alone alarm. The application also accepts direct links on notes, tasks, and dates if the interactive desktop is enabled. Users may also choose to keep the note private, normal, or invisible. Printing the calendar is also featured in this application. It even offers a set of options for choosing the date range when printing notes. There is also a built-in address book. This feature is used keep details about the contacts. The application also allows importing of contacts from supported platforms including Windows Address Book, Outlook, and Outlook Express.
