Fantasy Earth: Zero is a massive multiplayer online video game developed by Fenix Soft and released in September 2007. Players take control of a character, which they guide in performing actions such as moving from one place to another, talking to other player-characters and non-player characters, purchasing and selling items, and attacking monsters and other players. These characters get stronger by accumulating experience gained from performing skill-based actions such as defeating opponents and casting spells and executing special abilities. Massive Multiplayer Online Games also have a defined economic system where players can earn money to purchase weapons, armor, and other equipment used in the game. Fantasy Earth: Zero requires an active Internet connection and a game account in order for players to access the game and its features.

Fantasy Earth: Zero allows players to choose between five character classes. First class is the Warrior class, which focus on melee combat skills, and use weapons such as swords, axes, shields, and polearms. Warriors are frontline attackers due to their ability to inflict heavy damage and resistance to physical attacks. The next class is the Sorcerer class who focus on elemental magic spells. Sorcerers can inflict magic damage over a large area, and from a safe distance. Another class includes the Scout class, which focus on stealth attacks using a dagger, boy, or gun. Next class is the Fencer class, which is also uses melee attacks on enemies. Fencers have special abilities that allow them to block and counter attacks. Last class is the Cestus class, which has the ability to deal a great amount of damage to buildings. Fantasy Earth: Zero focuses on player-versus-player combat. Players get to choose between five warring kingdoms: Kingdom of Netzavare, Kingdom of Yelsord, Kingdom of Hordaine, Gevrandian Empire, and the Royal Alliance of Cesedria. Players and their kingdoms can go to wars, which can be won by destroying the enemy faction’s keep. Players are also provided with various buildings that provide offensive and defensive features, as well as summon creatures used for powerful attacks against a defending team.
