CloneCD

SlySoft, Inc. (Shareware)

The CloneCD is an optical disc authoring tool that copies audio and data CDs and DVDs, despite any restrictions from Digital Rights Management. The software was initially released by Oliver Kastl in March 2009 and was later owned by SlySoft, Inc. CloneCD features 1:1 copying system offering uncompressed/unmodified copies of data and audio CDs/DVDs.

The CloneCD application features raw mode when copying videos. The CloneCD program will require a reader and writer hardware to use this feature. The program has options for customization. This allows the configuration of preferred copying process such as data buffer size, disk write speed, and information of the final disk. The program also displays a log file that will show the progress accomplished by the program.

The software features Advanced Transcoding Technology that enables it to compress large footage at high speed. This feature also allows the selection of preferred language and audio to be used. The CloneCD application emulates weak sectors with all the CD writers. Amplifying weak sectors is also available but with preferred CD writers. The CloneCD application has a feature to repair the driver interface’s security vulnerability. Its tray icon allows users to control the inserted media’s functionality.

The program supports CD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, and DVD+R Dual Layer. However, copying movies requires the installation of AnyDVD. The integration with AnyDVD also enables CloneCD to burn .dvd files. It also supports other formats like UDF and ISO files and copies these files to CDs and DVDs. ISO images are created when the application uses DVD media as default setting for reading.
