Nero Express

Nero AG (Bundled)

Nero Express is a burning application developed by Nero AG that works similarly to Nero Burning ROM. The only difference is that the user interface was simplified in Nero Express. This program guides users throughout the burning process. The Nero Express application works in three steps: (1) selecting the files to be burned, (2) adding the files to the Nero Express window and (3) starting the burning process. Other options are also provided during the compilation and burning processes.

The Nero Express application offers different compilation methods. These are Data, Music, Videos, Print LightScribe Label and Image/Project/Copy. Different disc formats are also provided for each compilation method (i.e. CD, DVD, Bluray, etc).

The Nero Express application can also be used to save music files from Audio CDs to the computer’s hard drive. While copying audio files, the Nero Express program will also convert the format of the files being copied to a format supported by the computer. Aside from audio files, the Nero Express software also gives an option to save data track wherein tracks can be saved as an image file.

The Nero Express program is also supported by Gracenote. Using the Gracenote Media Database, all the files linked to the Nero Express are automatically recognized with Gracenote. This provides complete and accurate information about the files such as genre, track title, and title.

This software can also create or load labels that can be burned provided that a LightScribe recorder is available. This feature can be done as a part of the burning process or as a separate task. The Nero Express application can also create/load labels via Labelflash.

Some of the other features offered by this software include the erasing of discs, displaying information about the inserted disc, creating covers and labels via Nero CoverDesigner, and defining SecurDisc settings.
