7-Zip 15.14 (32-bit)

Igor Pavlov (Open Source)

7-Zip is a file archiver that was released in 1999. It runs with the compressed archive file format 7z, but it can also perform with other archive formats. Other packing and unpacking compression and non-compression formats include ZIP, GZip, tar, WIM, xz, and bzip2. For unpacking only, formats supported include DEB, NTFS, FAT, ARJ, CAB, RAR, EXE, FLV, CramFS, HFS, and many more.

Features of this software are a 256-bit AES cipher, multiple-core CPU threading settings, unpacking of archives with corrupted filenames, and self-extraction of single volume archives. When ZIP files are compressed, the application makes use of the DEFLATE encoder, which produces higher compression levels. The encoder is available as part of the AdvanceCOMP suite. The application comes in 1MB and can be installed on a computer in only a few seconds. To place files in an archive, select the files and right click. Choose the option that you need from the menu and the files will be compressed in an archive. Apart from its archiving capability, 7-Zip is also a file manager so users can see the files stored inside the archives.

7-Zip works on all computers running on Windows operating systems. There are localizations of the program in 79 languages.
